Calliham is a full-service unit with campsites and other amenities located on the shore of Choke Canyon Reservoir. The park offers water-based recreation including fishing, swimming, and boating.
358 Recreation Rd. 8, Calliham, TX 78007 (Physical address, park headquarters point) Official park/unit coordinates, not an individual campsite.
Checked October 8, 2026: Camping is listed, but no year-specific campground opening calendar was confirmed. Calliham has a posted January 4–8 hunting closure without an explicit year. Low water creates hazards at the Hwy. 99 and Mason Point ramps. Confirm current closures and your dates with the operator; no live availability is guaranteed.
Reel in largemouth bass and catfish from your boat or shore. You do not need a fishing license to fish from shore in a state park. Check current local fishing rules before fishing.
Source checked 2026-10-08: Official park campground page.
Official reservations — non-affiliate link. Outland Atlas does not show live availability or take bookings.
Only source-reviewed listings are shown. Unverified seed listings are withheld. Official links are not live availability; confirm dates, closures, access and fishing rules with the operator before travel.
For a trip with a confirmed tent campsite, a headlamp helps with hands-free tasks and a foam pad provides a sleeping surface. These items do not establish camping permission or availability. Choose your sleeping bag and insulation for the forecast; this pad alone is not an all-weather sleep system.
